Manufacturing – Machinery & Engineering
Our emerging region promotes local production within the manufacturing sector as the bread and butter to reviving its economic growth potential.
Vietnam has been investing and continue to do so in manufacturing technology, machinery, processes, skills training, engineering services as well as innovative design concept development to improve their productivity as well as competitiveness in industry. In 2022, Vietnam’s manufacturing sector accounted for 24.76 percent of the country’s total GDP helping to attract foreign direct investment (FDI). Vietnam has signed 15 free trade agreements including strategically important partnerships such as the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific.
Relatively low labour costs, infrastucture to support export and country’s strategic location on major tade routes are only some of the key factors that have contributed to Vietnam thriving manufacturing sector. Some government measures including corporate tax incentives and fit-for-purpose industrial zones have also been a great help. The country’s close proximity to China and relatively stable political environment made it an attractive alternative for manufacturers as well.
Growth-friendly tax environment, human resource development, investment incentives and numerous free trade agreements are only a few tools used to facilitate local production and export initiatives. To successfully accomplish this mandate, the manufacturing sector has been in the gradual process of a structural overhaul including but not limited to advances in technology, machinery, components & parts; turn-key repair; maintenance and plant engineering services across all industry.
At GTI Partner, we bring together and facilitate trade between vendors, engineering service providers; our regional production facilities and network. Through strategic partnerships, alliance as well as product and service agreements, we help bring sustainable solutions to the industry’s most difficult challenges.
